Welcome to DT. Tell us a few words about the group, when and where did you get started? How did you meet?
The band consists of five members and the sax man. In 2012 three friends, Paris (drums), Anestis (bass n vox) and Dafy (guitar) started jamming. The whole idea started in 2013 when we met Kostas and after a few line-up changes the band now consists of: Kostas (vocals), Paris (guitar), Dafy (guitar), Anestis (bass), Vaggelis (drums) and Orestis (saxophone).
Which are your musical influences?
To be honest we all come from different musical backgrounds so there are many influences involved. But to name a few: Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Kyuss, Nightstalker, Samsara Blues Experiment, The Temptations, Isaac Hayes and last but not least the almighty Barry White!
What’s your lyrics about? What catches your interest?
Well, first of all we are being honest with our lyrics. We write about our thoughts and everyday’s personal experiences. Our interests can be caught by everything, from a psychedelic beautiful sunset, a political issue, to a great lookin’ babe.
Is the communication with the crowd something that you care about, in all levels, or do you do music for yourselves?
We definitely try to create music that we’d want to listen to and also have fun playing. If the crowd feels the same way about it, then it’s a happy and welcomed coincidence.
Do you feel like you’re a part of a particular “scene” in which you would like to join and contribute or you are indifferent about it?
We feel that we are a part of the greek stoner scene. We also feel that we have our own sound and we experiment a lot, something that will become more obvious in the near future.
How do you imagine that the band will be in ten years from now?
Kings of the world of course.
Which famous artist you would like to do a guest to a record of yours and why?
David Gilmour because of reasons or the sexy sax man because he is sexy.
What plans do you have for the near future?
We are now focusing on recording our next EP, that will be a little bit different from our first one. After that we’ll try to do as many gigs as we can.
We wish you good luck to whatever you’re doing, the epilogue is yours.
We’d like to thank you for your interest and for this interview. Be sure to check us live. We guarantee an Instant Boner. Keep it cool ;)
